Taft ISD Food Pantry Food Distribution is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM in the PK (back) Loop at Woodroe Petty Elementary. The distribution is open to student families, staff, and community members.

Taft ISD Bond 2024 Update
The second concrete pour took place on Feb. 23rd on the west side of the site where the new gym will be located. Sewer drainage continues to be installed around the site near the sidewalks. The remainder of the site plan continues to be prepped for foundation work and concrete pours to take place in the coming weeks.
Perimeter fencing has been completed around the baseball & softball fields and the entrance gates have been installed. The on deck circles are being moved closer to the home plate circle to prevent injuries. Foundation work for the concession stand is also taking place. #TaftPride
Taft ISD was represented with such pride as Ezra Maldonado finished in 5th place at the Coastal Bend Spelling Bee! There were over 70 students from ages 8-14 at this morning's contest. Congrats to this Petty Pup who definitely has a very bright future! #TaftPrideNeverDies
