Congratulations to Danikah Sanchez and Michael Ortiz, Jr. (MJ) for their efforts at the Region IV Class 3A Track & Field Meet on Saturday! Danikah competed in the Women's High Jump and MJ competed in the 800m and 1600m runs. Danikah finished 11th in the High Jump. MJ finished 6th in the 800m run and 9th in the 1600m run. Wonderful performance for two returning athletes against the best in the region! #TPND

Taft ISD 2024 Bond Update

The much needed rain that we received that past couple of weeks has slowed the progress at the high school site, but workers are still prepping the site for the next phases on days that they can access areas. Work continues on the new gym, sewer/drainage systems, and pads for new concrete pours.

We will update everyone when a new schedule is posted for the next concrete pour. #TPND

Congratulations to Mark Bechtold and Roger Longoria who were honored at the ESC-2 Classified School Personnel Recognition Luncheon for their outstanding dedication to Taft ISD facilities & operations! The event was held at the Holiday Inn Corpus Christi Downtown Marina on Friday at 11:30 AM. Both of the honorees received a plaque as well as the opportunity to take a photo with ESC board members and staff. Taft Greyhound Baseball battled to the end in Game 2 of their bi-district series with Banquete, but their season came to an end with a 9-6 loss. Congratulations to all of the players and coaches on an outstanding season! Here are some pics from Thursday night's action. #TPND

On Thursday night, the Taft ISD Celebration of Excellence recognized the Taft High School Top 15 students of the Class of 2026 along with their choice of Hero Teachers who they felt made an impact in their educational careers. Hero Teachers were presented with a medal from their student and the students were presented a $100 check from the Taft Education Foundation. Thanks to our NHS underclassmen who helped us serve the dinner! Congratulations to all of the honorees on their incredible accomplishments as well as everyone who was able to attend the banquet!

Did You Know? Taft ISD campuses passed all of their school security audits for the 2025-2026 school year! TEA schedules campus security audits to determine all safety protocols mandated by the state are in place in districts across Texas. Taft ISD campuses was 100% successful in all of the audits conducted this year. #TPND #SchoolSafety

Health science students at Taft High School worked on the hygiene of their patients by practicing shaving on some volunteer students at staff. Thanks to all who participated to help these students practice real life skills that they will utilize in their careers! #TPND #CCMRReady
