Congratulations to incumbent Diana Buendia and new board member, Matthew Banda, who were recently elected to the Taft ISD School Board of Trustees! Results were canvassed at the regularly scheduled Board meeting on May 11, 2026, and both members were sworn in.
Greg Benedict did not run for re-election and came off the school board at this meeting. The district thanks Mr. Benedict for his service on the Board and his dedication to the students, staff and community members of Taft ISD!
Board officers for the 2026-2027 year were also elected at the May 11th meeting. Manuel Banda will continue as the Board President and Johnny Carvajal retains his office as Board Secretary. Diana Buendia was elected as the Board Vice-President to complete the executive officers. #TPND
