At Tuesday’s Special Board Meeting on August 18, 2020, Taft ISD Board of Trustees voted to approve a recommendation from District Administrators to extend the Remote Online Distance Learning for up to eight (8) weeks. Remote Online Distance Learning will be extended to October 9, 2020. The District will submit a waiver to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) that would allow flexibility to extend the transition window for starting face-to face instruction up to four (4) additional weeks. We will be adjusting our phase-in plan for face-to-face learning during the extended four week period from September 14th to October 9th.
