Johnny Carvajal was elected to the School Board in 1998 for two terms and then again in 2006. 

Johnny and his wife, Olga of 33 years raised their five children, John, Carrie Ann, Eugene, Michael and Regina in Taft, and now have 5 grandchildren.  

Johnny was born and raised in Taft, and graduated from Taft High School.  He is a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and employed by Citgo Refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas. 

Johnny enjoys fishing, tubing at the Frio River and Barbecuing.
