Program Description

TAFT ISD Award Winning Industry Certification Architecture Program is part of the P-Tech Academy. Students enrolled are part of an on going effort to provide Dual Credit classes along with a Level 1 Certificate or an Associates Degree from Del Mar College

Industry Based Certification

The Program Of Study offers students the ability to participate in dual credit through the Taft ISD P-Tech Academy. While attending high school, Students can graduate from Del Mar College with a Level I Computer Aided Drafting & Design Certificate, Autodesk AutoCAD Industry based certification, an possibly an Associates degree.

Employability

Autocad

Taft ISD is a Certified Autodesk Testing Center. Industries such as Architecture, Aerospace, Automotive, Construction, Engineering, Medical, and Manufacturing/Robotics use AutoCAD as its preferred design software. By offering this, students employability skills will allow them to compete for a high demanding job opportunities.

The Construction Program of Study is a collaboration between Del Mar College and Taft ISD. Student gain hands on experience along with an Industry Based Certification in HBI.

Health Science

Health Science Program of Study is also part of the Taft ISD P-Tech Academy. Students enrolled in this program of study are offered the ability to take Dual Credit and seek Industry Based Certifications in Phlebotomy, EKG, PTC, and Medical Assistant.
