Today, teachers at Petty Elementary, Trevino Jr. High and Taft High School were recognized for Taft Education Foundation grants awarded and Teacher Incentive Allotment designation that were earned! Teachers earning Foundation mini-grants were:
Petty Elementary: Marco Campos, Stephanie Hutchins, Katy Ballesteros, Elvia Lopez, Melissa Pittman, Jennifer Chapman, Naomi Moreno, Stephanie LaFavers and Paola Maravilla-Zapata.
Trevino Jr. High: Samuel Loyd, Jason Palmore, Stella Flores, Brannen Ellyson, Judy Cantu and Aldina Carrera
Taft HS: Adriana Lunoff, Gena Brenner, Darias Whittington, Tasha Wilson, Bob Klepac, Cindy Valdez, David Rogers, William Worthington, Misti Pittman and Haley Betancourt
Teachers earning TIA designations were:
Kari Hartung (Petty ES) - Exemplary designation ($14,543 allotment)
Jamie Lynch (Petty ES) - Exemplary designation ($14,543 allotment)
Stella Flores (Trevino JH) - Exemplary designation ($14,218 allotment)
Gena Brenner (Taft HS) - Recognized designation ($6,940 allotment)
These teachers not only earned the designation which will go on their SBEC teaching certificate, but will also receive the TIA allotment for the next five years as long as they continue to teach in Taft ISD!
