Texas S.T.E.P.                          Grades: 6th - 12th                           Length:  15min - 30min

Texas Statewide Tobacco Education & Prevention Program educates the students about preventive programs to reduce the child's access to tobacco. Informs of tobacco and nicotine addiction, and the laws and consequences of  tobacco possession.

Gang Awareness                    Grades: 3rd - 12th                           Length:  15min - 30min  
 
The Student is informed of the dangers associated with being in a gang as well as the gangs impact on the community and schools. Tips are given on how to avoid negative peer pressure to join and are given alternative programs to be part of.

Drug Awareness                            Grades: K - 12th                              Length:  15min - 30min 

The Student is informed about the dangers associated with drug abuse (illegal drugs, over the counter drugs, or prescription). The impact drug addiction has on the family and school work. Tips are given on how to avoid negative peer pressure to use.

Theft Prevention                             Grades: K-12th                                Length:  15min - 30min

The student is informed of  ways to prevent theft in the school. The consequences of being caught stealing are explained. The impact that theft has on a victim as well as the thief. 

Officer Friendly                                 Grades: K-5th                                  Length:  15min - 30min 

The officer and the student are introduced in a classroom environment where the student is comfortable in their own environment. The student and officer discuss the police officers duties and his tools of the trade.

Crime Prevention                           Grades: 3rd - 12th                           Length:  15min - 30min 

The student learns that they play an important role in their own safety in their environment as well as techniques used to assess their vulnerability. The student learns techniques to be involved in the prevention of crime and violence in their environment.

Inhalant Abuse                                  Grades: K-12th                               Length:  15min - 30min

The Student is informed about the dangers associated with inhalant abuse of common household products. The affects inhalant abuse has on the body and the impact on the family and school work. Tips given on how to avoid negative peer pressure to use.

Gun Safety                                             Grades: K-8th                               Length:  15min - 30min  

The student is informed of what to do if they find themselves in a situation involving any type of gun. K-3rd grades are taught using "Eddie the Eagle" gun safety program.

Bicycle Safety                                       Grades: K-5th                              Length:  15min - 30min  

The student is informed of  the proper safety equipment for the bike, the proper riding techniques, hand signals, and safety on the streets while riding.

Alcohol Awareness                         Grades: 5th-12th                          Length:  15min - 30min   

The student is informed of the dangers and health problems associated with the use of alcohol and the laws involving minors with alcohol. They are given techniques to avoid negative peer pressure.

Bullying                                                     Grades: K-12th                             Length:  15min - 30min

Bullying can occur at any grade level and continues into adulthood. This program informs the student of the types of bully and techniques to use when involved with or victimized by bullies. 

Managing Conflict                            Grades: 5th-12th                          Length:  15min - 30min  

The student is informed of steps to managing conflict. Techniques are given on working on agreements, confronting the issues, and where to get help.

Personal Safety                                  Grades: 6th-12th                          Length:  15min - 30min

The student is informed of how to become more aware of their surroundings in order to reduce the possibility of being victimized. Informs the student what information will be useful if they should become a victim or witness to a crime.

Emergency 9-1-1                                Grades: K-4th                              Length:  15min - 30min 

The student learns the proper use of the emergency system and 9-1-1and is able to ask questions to better acquainted with when to call 911 and what to say and do to get the help needed.

Fatal Vision                                            Grades: 5th - 12th                         Length:  15min - 30min  

The student wears unique and specially designed goggles that simulate being under the influence of alcohol and drugs by distorting the eye and hand coordination of the wearer. The student performs tasks to demonstrate lack of coordination.

Strangers                                                 Grades: K - 5th                               Length:  15min - 30min

Students are informed of who a stranger is (from a person to a dog). Student is given "never to do" and "always do" rules when they experience a stranger.

Date Rape                                                Grades: 9th - 12th                          Length:  15min - 30min   

The student is informed of the different types of date rape from the use of "Date Rape Drugs" to forcible rape. As a woman or a man, the student is informed of ways to prevent date rape and what actions to take if it happens to them or an acquaintance.

Teen Dating Violence                    Grades: 9th - 12th                          Length:  15min - 30min  

The student is informed of their rights in a relationship and the indicators that they are in an abusive relationship. The student informed of what to do for a victim and what actions to take.

Kid Print                                                    Grades: K-5th                                  Length:  15min - 30min  

The student is informed of fingerprinting techniques and how important prints are in an investigation and in identifying persons. With consent of guardian the student's fingerprints are put on an ID form to take home for their records.

Road Rules                                           Grades: 11th - 12th                         Length:  15min - 30min  

The student is informed of safe driving practices and protection techniques from theft and damage to their vehicle. Carjacking prevention tips are given as well as controlling road.

Bus Safety                                             Grades: K - 5th                                 Length:  15min - 30min  

Student is informed of safety while at the bus stop, loading/unloading the bus, riding in the bus. Student is shown the danger zones around the outside of bus.
