Herman Rodriguez and his wife Jackie, of 20 years are both graduates of Taft High School. They have two children, Isaac, who is attending college to become an audiologist and Lyndsie who is a junior at Taft High School and plans on going to law school after graduation.

Herman served the community of Taft as a Police Officer before gaining employment as an Operator Technician for twenty-two years in the petro chemical industry. He is a member of the Immaculate Conception Church where he holds the distinction of Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council.

Herman enjoys cooking for the Taft Band Boosters on Friday nights at the football games, playing golf and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Herman feels that the goal for a board member should be providing the best educational instruction possible for all our students, preparing them for college and making our schools as safe as possible. Herman wants to continue to be an effective team member of the “Taft ISD Team of Eight”.
